Laser welding

The method

Productivity, precision and quality make laser-based procedures the favored solution for many tasks in the welding technology. bkl-lasertechnik uses most modern, CNC controlled plants for commissions in the following procedures:

  • Laser welding
  • Connection welding
  • Laser deposition welding
  • Surface coatings
  • Edge armoring

We have one of the largest manual laser welding machines in Bavaria. Its scale of up to one meter in each direction allows the welding of tools of almost any usual size. Tools used for mould making often don´t need to be disassembled for smaller repair welds.

With our large-scale machine we are able to work on tools of a weight of up to 5 tons (tools with a weight of more than 1, 0 tons by appointment only).

By using our CNC controlled laser welding machine each surface or edge will be selected and processed by “touch in”-method.

Laser welding makes surface coating and edge armoring to approx. 63 HRC possible. This hardness exists right from the first welding layer.
